DESCRIPTION:
This is an individual apartment located inside a classic, heritage, Melbourne CBD building (called Merigold on Collins) with a security entrance. The gorgeous, old-style, living area windows overlook Collins St below.
Perfect for two, your very well refurbished, split-level, Melburnian apartment is amazingly located in the middle of the CBD's cafe, restaurant and shopping district. Although it is strictly a studio apartment, the queen bed is in a separate, split-level area, and there are large block-out blinds that give the bedroom complete privacy and restrict most of the light from coming into the bedroom area. Your swish, boutique apartment includes very modern, high quality furnishings and appliances, linen, towels, and a large kitchen with lots of storage space.
Opening windows allow fresh air through the apartment when you want it. This is so well-located near shops, cafes, restaurants and trams; as well as the many attractions that Melbourne has to offer.
Car parking is available nearby for a small fee - monthly rates are as little as about $11/day.
LOCATION:
StayCentral on Collins is in the middle of some of the best shopping, restaurants, cafes and bars in Australia. The tram stops are just 20m away. You can enjoy a walk to some of the best-known sporting venues, markets and arts venues in the country. Everyday shops, services, banks ATMS and all your everyday needs are catered for nearby.
It is only a short walk from Chinatown, and some of the best shopping, theatres, restaurants, cafes and bars in Australia are on your doorstep. Melbourne Central shopping centre, the Bourke Street Mall, Carlton Gardens and Melbourne Museum/IMAX theatre, Crown Casino, the Emporium, Federation Square, and the aquarium are all within easy walking distance.
Getting There
It's easy to get to Merigold on Collins. From the airport, you can just take a taxi, or you can hop on the Skybus to Southern Cross Station. From there, it's a short walk and a free tram ride up Collins St to Swanston St, and Merigold is just across the road from where you get off the tram, and a few steps back to Manchester Lane
Getting Around
The trams in the Melbourne CBD are brilliant. From CBD Little Paris, trams are only 20 metres away on Collins St or around the corner on Swanston St or down De Graves St on Flinders Lane. You can take a very short walk to Flinders St Station as well; if you want to go a bit further. Trams are free in the CBD!
Guest Interaction
We send you instructions on how to collect your keys on site from our greeters, once your booking is confirmed. Our office is remote from the apartment, so we communicate by phone or email. We always check with you within 24 hours of arrival to make sure that everything is okay, but we are available by phone and email for extended office hours every day.A compendium with full instructions and local information is supplied in all of our apartmentsFull directions instructions on how to access your apartment will be provided once your booking is confirmed with StayCentral.
Also, if you only travel on the trams within the city grid, it's free, and you don't need a Myki card.

We won't be able to accept bookings that do not meet the above criteria.
Service fee: $150 per stay
*Very early and late arrivals require the following fees to have someone there at these times:
Between 6:00 am and 9:30 am: $25.00
Between 5:30 pm and 9:00 pm: $25.00
Between 9:00 pm and midnight $55.00
Between midnight and 6:00 am: $100.00
We send you instructions on how to collect your keys on site once your booking is confirmed, and your security deposit is processed; a week before arrival. Our office is remote from the apartment, so we communicate by phone or email. We are available by phone and email for extended office hours every day.
Check in
On check in, the owner of the credit card must be present, and will be asked to:
provide the credit card used for the booking (and the security bond if different). Airbnb excepted.
provide the matching photo ID
sign a registration form confirming the receipt of remotes, keys and parking permits and your acceptance of StayCentral Terms Conditions; including the authorisation for StayCentral to use the security deposit held by us as payment for any expenses as described in the above Terms.

Pet stays
NB: Many of our properties, including this one, are pet-friendly, but only with approval, and as long as they are quiet, and do not damage or climb on the furnishings! The minimum pet stay fee is $150 and daily fees vary from $20 down to $5 for longer stays.
SECURITY BOND
We require a minimum security bond of $600, which increases for long stays and last-minute bookings. The bond will be charged to your credit card used for the booking, or by EFT, and released after your departure (subject to a damage and excess cleaning check). The bond will be debited for any damage, missing items, excessive cleaning or food or rubbish removal. Any credit cards used must be verified by our SecureID security verification process. Cards that cannot be verified will not be accepted, and any payments made may not be honoured. Please enquire with us for more details before making a booking.
