In February 2010 Melbourne opened a new kind of cultural institution-The Wheeler Centre. A centre dedicated to the discussion and practice of writing and ideas. The Wheeler Centre is the centrepiece of the Victorian Government's City of Literature initiative. It's a recognition and celebration of Melbourne's passionate readers. Through a year-round programme of talks and lectures, readings and debates, the people at The Wheeler Centre invite you to join the conversation.
