- Strictly strictly no loud noise, including/especially when at the balcony, please. No gatherings in the common area (entrance hall, driveway and car park). We have wonderful neighbours who cherish the peacefulness of the building, and we ask you to be considerate at all times. We take neighbour complaints seriously and may result in your eviction and loss of damage deposit.

- This is a self-service apartment. We use professional cleaners after every stay. There is no housekeeping service (can be organised at a cost to the guest).

Tip: drop shopping bags home, and walk no longer than 8 minutes to the cluster of wellness spas and massages. Hydrate well and re-energise with the many cafes and patisseries 'down the road'.

Quicker if you jogged of course, it is only a 30 minute walk to the MCG and Rod Laver Arena (home of the Australian Open), plus the practice courts at Albert Reserve. Slightly closer to AAMI Park.

Supplement your training with a run around The Tan running track (3.8km lap) nearby. A 650 metre hill sprint up Anderson St, or if preferring something more scenic to distract you from the pain, a sprint up to the Shrine of Remembrance, could feature.

As important, finish up at the cafes dotted around Domain Road or at Jardin Tan within the Botanical Gardens. Celebrate a win, or a PB at one of the many fine dining options within a walk from your retreat. A rustic Italian experience at Da Noi or Japanese grill at Wagyu-ya beckons!

You will also just be up the hill from scenic bike paths, going East takes you to the infamous Kew Boulevard if climbing hills strike your fancy. Plenty of storage for your bikes in the 2 car garage.

*15th November 2015*. We have secured a beautiful vintage Arne Vodder office & study desk. As stated earlier, we had been on the hunt for a 'must be right' study table as we think the place is perfect for us looking to get some more serious work done, in addition to having the option of working on the extended study table or sofa, or bed.

* 11th November 2015*. New timber floorboards installed! As mentioned this replaced carpet in hallway and living/dining areas. This is an incredible enhancement to the lightness and charm of the space, and works in harmony with the existing furniture.

- This is a self-service apartment. Other than our guarantee of a professional clean before your arrival, there is no housekeeping service. One can be organised at a cost to the guest by request.

- We love our home and we hope you do too. Strictly strictly no loud noise, including/especially when at the balcony, please. We have wonderful neighbours who cherish the peacefulness of the apartment, and we ask you to respect their wishes.

- No smoking in the apartment.
- Shoes off in the house please (Asian house policy!).
- No pets.
- Guest numbers must not exceed what was agreed.
- We do have several vintage furniture which are on the fragile side, like lamps, office table and side tables (no luggage on these please!). Please handle with care!
- Check in is at 2pm. Check out is 10.00 am.

Getting around

6 mins stroll to tram stops on Toorak Road, or to Domain Road / Park St corner. Both are on the Number 8 tram line which run very frequently to the city and back. Depending on traffic it should be around 15-20 mins by tram to the city.

9 mins easy walk to South Yarra Railway Station, that will zip you to different parts of town. It is only ONE STOP to Richmond station which is the main stop to MCG and Rod Laver Arena (say 3 mins). It is TWO STOPS from Flinders St Station if heading to the city (say 5 mins).

There is also a bus stop just 5 mins walk away on Alexandra Avenue that goes straight to the city.

We tend to walk or bike almost everywhere within a 2-3km radius given the ease and the character of the neighbourhood.
