The Neighborhood: Only 15 minutes from the Melbourne CBD, Port Melbourne is different to any of the southern capital's other trendy neighbourhoods. The working port and industrial architecture could have something to do with that, but so could the beach. Taking a dip is an option, but so is grabbing a great coffee (it's Melbourne after all) and people watching along the waterfront. Pubs, cafes, restaurants and parks abound.
